SENIOR REAL ESTATE PARALEGAL

Nacelle is a purpose-driven law firm dedicated to accelerating the global transition to clean energy. We represent renewable energy project developers, owners, and operators in support of the development, financing, construction, and operation of wind, solar, battery energy storage, green fuels, floating solar, and distributed generation projects.

We also represent data center project developers, owners, and operators, recognizing the critical role data infrastructure plays in accelerating the shift to a clean, climate-conscious economy.

Our work sits at the intersection of real estate, energy, and infrastructure execution.

We hire people who want direct client responsibility and ownership of their work. Our team is energized by growth, motivated by impact, and excited to help build the next generation of energy infrastructure.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Nacelle is seeking an experienced Senior Real Estate Paralegal who shares our passion for accelerating the transition to clean energy. You will support real estate transactions across renewable energy and infrastructure projects, working on active matters with tight timelines, evolving deal structures, and complex stakeholder dynamics. Candidates should be able to operate independently, exercise judgment in ambiguous situations, and take ownership of their work. This is a senior-level role with responsibility for managing key workflows and supporting transaction execution.

As Nacelle continues to grow, this role offers meaningful opportunities for expanded responsibility, deeper ownership of transaction workflows, and long-term growth within the firm.

This position is full-time, integrated into the firm’s operations and client matters.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of law firm and/or in-house commercial real estate experience, with focused experience supporting renewable energy real estate transactions.
  • Strong grasp of real estate documentation and legal and commercial issues underlying transactions.
  • Clear, precise, and detail-oriented writing skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple matters concurrently.
  • Professional judgment and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and counterparties.
  • Ability to manage transactions and client relationships with limited oversight, and to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft and review project documents, including leases, easements, option agreements, and purchase agreements.
  • Review ownership, analyze title, and prepare legal descriptions.
  • Manage title and survey review, including preparation of curative materials with a focus on transaction execution and financeability.
  • Conduct and coordinate due diligence across active transactions.
  • Work with title companies, counterparties, and financing parties to satisfy transaction requirements.
  • Draft closing checklists and coordinate closings, tracking requirements, deliverables, and key dates.
  • Support project financing and M&A transactions, coordinating across deal teams and tracking transaction requirements and deliverables.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Competitive compensation based on experience and responsibilities.
  • Health insurance benefits.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with non-elective employer contribution.
  • Paid time off, sick leave, and firm holidays.
  • Permanently remote, within a remote-first firm designed to support effective collaboration in a distributed environment.
